"Why Do We Doubt?"
Since ancient times, we’ve trusted friends, teachers, and mentors. But did we ever believe that everything they said was 100% true? No. We’ve always asked questions like, “Are you sure this is true?” “Where did you get this information?” “Have you checked if it’s accurate?” Doubt is a natural part of understanding.
Just like humans, AI also has flaws. It’s not perfect, and sometimes it “hallucinates” or provides incorrect information. But does that mean we should completely reject it? No, because mistakes are a part of growth, whether it’s humans or machines.
The beauty of doubt is that it makes us question, explore, and seek deeper truths. Philosophy calls this process “epistemology,” which is the study of knowledge and how we understand the world. Doubt is not negative—it’s a tool to uncover reality and expand our understanding.
Instead of expecting AI to be a flawless source of truth, we should view it as a collaborator—just another tool to help us think critically, solve problems, and explore possibilities. Similarly, our relationship with AI should be based on questioning, analyzing, and understanding, just like how we interact with other humans.
Ultimately, it’s not about achieving perfect truth but about using both human and AI insights to create a richer understanding of the world.
